Proud for President
Category : Proud for President

It dawned on me a while back that I can solve a lot of the world’s problems. One way to accomplish this goal is to be elected President of the USA. However, one of my co-workers on this project said: “you could just as easily, possibly even more easily, get these things done by sponsoring them through a private business.” So, I’m still running for President, and, mark my words, the best one for the job, but since we have products ready to go to “press” now…we shouldn’t hesitate to get going now. I already have a private 501-C-3 Non Profit Charitable Foundation (which can accept tax-free donations), called Proud Foundation, that has plans in place to make potable water available to all the places in the world that need it…which is huge. Also, below you’ll read what the Proud Foundation proposes for great improvements in the American Educational system…and our energy program is second to none in the world, based on the Dyson Swarm, a space based energy capture system which has been available for quite some time and just needs an organizational base for operation and implementation.

Jeffrey Proud – the President you’ve always wanted:

  • to make our educational system the best in the world…
  • to bring us out of the worst economic hole ever seen (or created) in human history…
  • to run the US government – with excitement, enthusiasm, efficiency, honesty, and wisdom…
  • to keep and pay for: HealthCare, Social Security, Medicare, and our other entitlement programs…
  • to shift the biggest economic engine in the world into fourth gear & over-drive…
  • to give every American a decent job, a way to improve him/her-self and a secure future…
  • to deal with Global Warming (Climate Change)…
  • My energy policy will guarantee the world an unlimited supply of energy for the next millennia…
  • My designs will solve the world’s potable water supply problem and make great headway against fighting diseases on an International scale…

When we, my partners and I, sold our electronics engineering business in 1999;

I had the freedom to do something different…it was sort of payback for the measure of success life granted me. I always thought I would enjoy teaching; I like kids and I knew the U.S. education system was performing very badly; therefore, I became a teacher. After a couple of years as a special education teacher, I witnessed first hand the education system’s problems. I decided to research it to find answers. I went back to college and earned a MS and a PhD in education. My research looked for flaws in the system undermining American kids from getting a high quality education. After nearly ten years of study, I discovered an answer to the question of why our education system had deteriorated. There are many contributing factors, but the answer boils down to just a few main concepts:  group dynamics, individual learning styles, and self-reliance.

  • Let me explain these “learning concepts” a little further.
    • Group dynamics deals with all the interactions that go on in a classroom. The teacher, other kids wiggling, doing things, talking, school bells, clocks, radios, outside noise, other classes, general distractions – just normal day-to-day classroom interactions.
    • Secondly, there’s the factor of how kids learn. Carl Jung, the seminal pyschologist, studied how humans learn and store stuff in memory. There are four main learning methods: lecture (teacher recites or reads information to the class); kids learn by questioning or challenging information and requiring proof; kids learn cooperatively, amongst themselves, in play or in groups; and kids that learn artistically, graphically, or through pictures.
    • The third basic learning concept is how you think of yourself. This is called self-esteem, and it has a great dependence on an outside factor called a “self-fulfilling-prophecy.” Sort of: “If you believe you can’t learn…then you can’t.”
      • Self-esteem needs a little more explanation. It has been the subject of abuse lately. If kids get behind, they get discouraged, and they will tend to get further behind. But it’s not as easy as just telling a kid they are doing ‘okay’ to catch them up, they have to actually do it, they need to get ahead and then they will take pride in their accomplishment. This involves nearly instant feedback and a technological trick. For example: Everyone can be trained to read at about 1000 words per minute (some to 2000-3000 words). Normal average reading speed is approximately 300 words per minute. There are several “speed reading” apps for smart phones that rapidly get reading speeds up to 1000 words per minute with minimal training. Just think for a minute…if I can improve your reading speed to 3.33 times better than your peers, what happens to your self-esteem? You got it, you just blew the socks off everybody you know…and this is just one of the methods I use to improve education.

I spent years investigating and analyzing how to reform education. During this process, I discovered teachers, a major resource for positive quality changes in learning, were systematically ignored as a source for educational improvement. I started Proud Foundation to enlist input from teachers on how to reform education. Leaders seeking educational improvement go to college professors, consultants, pundits, and other outside experts for advice and action plans, but hardly ever teachers. I created Proud Foundation to distribute the money (in the form of $10,000 grants) to teachers to implement their plans, interventions and/or curricula changes to improve education.

I also started a Charter School, Cygnus Academy, to be a research facility, along with a middle school, to test some of the concepts involved in this new higher technology, rapid feedback, educational setting.
